It was a hot, November day in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. She sat next to me on a wooden bench, and her big brown eyes lit up when she answered my question, "Nara, what would you like to be when you grow up?"
"A teacher!" She said with a gentle smile. I gave her hand a tight squeeze...and I knew right then and there that I was looking at the future of Cambodia. This little eight-year-old girl had a destiny that God wanted her to fulfill, and I was going to do whatever I could to help make it come true.
Many of you are lovingly reaching out to children such as Nara by your support to the work we're doing for these Children At Risk, and we thank you for that with all our heart. May we as followers of Jesus value and protect each child and realize how much God wants us to love His little ones through us.
